The day I was born, it was "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" by The Tokens, which has since been ruined by Disney. On the day I turned 21, the hit at number 1 was "Maneater" by Daryl Hall and John Oates, which may or may not have been precient. And as long as we're that far into it, the day I turned 40 years old and said goodbye to youth and started driving the car of my life over the hill, the song at the top of the charts was "How You Remind Me" by Nickelback, a song I have never even heard of before I looked it up. Thanks, Wikipedia! I'm old!
This is a tough question because my taste in music isn't the hippest. At all. By any stretch of the imagination. And one person's poison is another person's tonic.
iTunes tells me I have over 10,000 songs on my hard drive, and I manage to burn most of my CDs on there so a quick review reveals that I own and listen to "Billy Joel Souvenir: The Ultimate Collection" which was a 4-disc greatest hits, but even that isn't as bad as "Reload! Frankie: The Whole 12 Inches" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood. Three versions of Relax, two versions of Two Tribes and 15-minute horror known as "Welcome to the Pleasuredome (Brothers in Rhythm Rollercoaster Mix)."
